Dr. Beverly Sherman
Dr Sherman graduated from the University Of Missouri College Of
Veterinary Medicine in 1983. She practiced in Tulsa, Oklahoma and
Boise, Idaho before moving to Springfield in 1989. Dr. Sherman had
wanted to be a veterinarian ever since she was little and feels blessed
to be in such a rewarding profession. She enjoys all aspects of small
animal veterinary medicine but has a special interest in small animal
dentistry. She is a member of the AVMA, MVMA and the Veterinary Dental
Society. She is married to a great husband and father, Paul and has
four wonderful children. She has 3 dogs and two cats. Her hobbies
include hiking, camping and canoeing and she enjoys working with Girl
Scouts and coaching soccer. |

Dr. Patricia Ziegler
Dr. Ziegler grew up in Madison, Kansas—a small rural town in the heart
of the Flint Hills. She attended college at Kansas State University and
received her degree in veterinary medicine in 1989. After practicing in
Illinois for 2 ½ years, she moved to Springfield in 1992 and
joined the staff of Parkcrest Veterinary Hospital as an associate
veterinarian.
Dr.
Ziegler attends continuing education meetings throughout the year to
stay current in the field. She is also a member of the American
Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical
Association and the Southwest Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Ziegler's other interests include competitive shooting, photography, hiking, reading and crafts.

Dr. Randy Garoutte
Dr. Garoutte earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from
Oklahoma State University in 1996 and graduated from the Oklahoma State
University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.
Originally
from Miami, Oklahoma, Dr. Garoutte has spent much of his life involved
with veterinary medicine. He began working in a veterinary practice at
the age of thirteen and soon realized that there would be no greater
career than to spend his days working with animals to help them live
long and healthy lives.
After
graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Garoutte worked at a small and
large animal practice in Anderson, Missouri for one year. He and his
family moved to Springfield in 2000. He has been married to his
wonderful wife, Teresa, since 1993 and they have two children and a cute little Sheltie named Buddy.
Dr.
Garoutte is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and
attends continuing education meetings each year at local/national
conferences to keep up with the ever-changing medical and surgical
aspects of veterinary care.

Lucia Reid, Client Services Manager
Lucia
Reid graduated from Valencia Community College in Orlando, FL with a
degree in Business Administration/Marketing. She has had a diverse
background in various businesses, however her love for animals drew her
to the field of veterinarian medicine.
She has been at Parkcrest Veterinary Hospital since 1996. She currently resides with her "mane man" Cloud Dancer, an appaloosa horse, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and 1 bird. Her bird, Kemo, enjoys sharing her morning shower and having long talks whenever Lucia's at home. |

Cindy Cantrell, Hospital Services Coordinator and Veterinary Assistant
Cindy
Cantrell started working as a veterinary assistant in September 1980.
It was a desire to work with animals that made her seek out a job
position that enabled her to do so.
She lives with 2 dogs, a lovebird, and 2 horses. She enjoys horseback riding, photography, hiking, gardening,
time with her animals and her family. Cindy enjoys helping animals and
the rewards that she gets from them, animals never leave you guessing
how they feel about you. |

Carey Rippe, Client Communications Coordinator and Nutrition Coordinator
Carey has been with Parkcrest Veterinary Hospital since January 2000. She primarily works in the business office and is very involved with daily operations of the hospital. She also facilitates the ordering and organization of all the prescription and wellness diets offered by the hospital. Carey grew up in Springfield and graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1994. She attended what is now MSU until she started her career in the veterinary profession in 1997. She began her training as a receptionist but was also trained as a general assistant to the doctors, including surgery procedures. She has been married to her husband John since November 1998 and has one child, Olivia Dawn, born in November 2004. The family also includes 2 senior Border Collies, a feisty Cavalier Spaniel, a temperamental senior cat, and one noisy Cockatiel. |

Jodie Larivee, Client Services and Technology Coordinator
Jodie
Larivee has been at Parkcrest Veterinary Hospital since March of
2001. When she started at Parkcrest, she knew very little about
veterinary medicine, but since then has learned a great deal, and she
enjoys sharing that knowledge with other pet owners.
She lives in Springfield with her Great Pyrenees Ella and four cats. |

Karen May, Client Services
Karen May recently relocated to Missouri from Southern California.
She has survived an ice storm, tornado warnings, and tick season. She
lives in the country with 3 rescued dogs, a goat, chickens, and a red
fox. |

Amber Tucker, Veterinary Assistant
Amber
Tucker has worked at Parkcrest Veterinary Hospital since 2000. She
loves working with people and the animals that "own" them. Amber has
gained many of her veterinary assistant skills through on-the-job
training and attending continuing education seminars. She likes doing
dental procedures and is willing to "polish" her skills whenever
necessary. |

Sarah Branson, Veterinary Assistant
Sarah Branson joined the Parkcrest staff in July 2006, after working for 3 years at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Southwest Missouri. She was born and raised in Springfield, and currently lives with her husband Austin and their 2 children Madison and Ethan, and the furry kids - Eli, their cat, and Gretta, their dog.

Janet Williams, Veterinary Assistant
Janet grew up in West Plains, Missouri. She started working in a vet clinic there in 2003. She and her husband Matt got married in 2006 and moved to Springfield, where she continued her veterinary career and education. In 2009 she graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in animal science. She has been at Parkcrest Veterinary Hospital since October 2008. Janet has 2 dogs and a cat—she and Matt adopted Cracker Jack, a beagle mix, after they moved to Springfield. Kitty Clover was found in a dumpster at their apartment building. Clover is a very special, outgoing cat with FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). The most recent addition to Janet’s family is a Parsons Russell Terrier named Petri. Petri is enrolled in doggie classes to help her terrier tendencies. In her free time, Janet enjoys reading and tossing tennis balls for her dogs. She is considering going back to school and getting her veterinary technician certification.

Chris Roling, Veterinary Technician
Chris Roling joined Parkcrest in September 2010. She moved here from Omaha, Nebraska and is looking forward to the milder winters in Springfield. She graduated with a veterinary technician degree in 1981 and has worked with animals ever since. She has only one cat of her own, but that can always change! |

Rhonda Lofton, Veterinary Technician
Rhonda Lofton graduated from the University of Maine’s Veterinary Technician Program in 1993, and is licensed in Maine and Missouri. She moved to the Ozarks in 2000, and has 3 cats (Callie, Tiger, and Tiffy), 2 dogs (Hazel and Daphney), and 3 horses (Holly, Noel, and Sunny). Rhonda has worked in both large and small animal practices, and joined the staff at Parkcrest in October 2010. |

Katrina Lindsey, Kennel Manager
Katrina has been with Holiday Boarding Kennel since January 2003. She is also working part time at the hospital as well. She enjoys working with the animals and being able to bring her own dog, Sadie, camping, floating, and on long walks. |

Casey has been a devoted pet care provider for four years. She has loved animals all her life, and intends on furthering her career in pet care for years to come. |

I have always loved dogs! I previously volunteered at C.A.R.E., which helped me understand how amazing dogs truly are. I really look forward to coming to work everyday. |

Luke Sherman, Kennel Assistant
Luke has grown up working and playing around the kennel and veterinary clinic since childhood, and has loved every minute of it. His family currently has three dogs and a cat, and he can't ever seem to get enough of them. He is currently studying Computer Information Systems at Missouri State University, and hopes to graduate in 2011. |

Carleen Deck, Groomer
Carleen
Deck has been grooming at Parkcrest Veterinary Hospital and Holiday
Boarding Kennel for about 18 years. She is very experienced in the art
of grooming and has even owned her own shop. She is known as the
"Granny Groomer" with the "magic touch."
Outside of grooming, Carleen enjoys fishing, boating on the lake and walking her dogs. |

Erica McSpadden, Groomer
Erica McSpadden previously worked as a kennel technician at Holiday
Boarding Kennel but has recently underwent training and become a
groomer. She likes to make pets beautiful, and enjoys her new position.
She and her husband Matt have a dog, Moses, and two cats, Spanky and
Carmello. She loves to hang out with her friends, go camping, travel,
and shop at the Landing with her mom and sister. |
